Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and company name (“Sentry”). By using this website, booking a call or using Sentry, you accept them. If you use Sentry for a company, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you may do so.

These documents take effect when Sentry launches. Highlighted details, such as the company name, will be filled in before then.

Who provides Sentry

  • Company: company name
  • Registration number: registration number
  • Registered address: registered address
  • Email: support@sentryhire.net

The service

Sentry helps companies notice unusual behaviour on camera during online interviews and marks moments for a person to review. It is in private beta: features may change, pause or end, and access is given at our discretion.

Sentry gives signals, not verdicts. Nothing Sentry shows is a finding that a candidate cheated, lied or broke a rule.

Using Sentry

  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep any access we give you to yourself and your team; you are responsible for what happens under it.
  • You must be at least 18 and use Sentry for business purposes.
  • Tell us at support@sentryhire.net if you think someone else has accessed your workspace.
  • You can stop using Sentry and ask us to delete your data at any time.

Using Sentry responsibly

If you use Sentry in interviews, you agree to:

  • tell every candidate, before the interview, that Sentry will be used, what it reads and how it works — Sentry has no hidden mode;
  • obtain the consent the law requires before the interview, including consent to AI analysis of a video interview where the law asks for it (for example, the Illinois Artificial Intelligence Video Interview Act) and consent for data that may be treated as biometric;
  • let only the people who need it to assess a candidate see their recordings, and delete them within 30 days when the candidate asks, where the law requires it;
  • have a person review every moment, and never use Sentry as the only basis for a hiring decision, or to score, rank or screen candidates;
  • give candidates a way to ask questions, see what was marked about them and ask for a human review;
  • comply with the employment, anti-discrimination, data protection and AI laws that apply to you — in the EU, the AI Act, including the obligations of a deployer of a high-risk AI system used in recruitment once they apply; in Kazakhstan, the Law on Artificial Intelligence.

You may not:

  • use Sentry to identify people, infer emotions or monitor anyone who has not been told — inferring emotions at work and in recruitment is prohibited in the EU;
  • use Sentry with people under 18;
  • copy, resell, reverse-engineer or overload the service, or try to get around its limits or security;
  • upload anything you have no right to share.

Data

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. When you use Sentry in interviews, you are the controller of candidates’ data and we process it on your behalf; before the product launches, we will sign a data processing agreement with every customer.

You own your data. We use it only to provide and improve the service for you, and never sell it.

Ownership

Sentry, its software, design and brand belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service while we give you access.

If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

Beta, warranties and liability

The private beta is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Signals can be wrong: a person must always check them.

To the extent the law allows, Sentry is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it — during the free beta, that is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Sentry at any time. We may suspend or end access that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law forbids it. When access ends, we delete the data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of country. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live. We will always try to settle a dispute by talking first: write to support@sentryhire.net.

Changes

We may update these terms as Sentry develops. We will tell the people and companies using Sentry about important changes at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using Sentry after that, the new terms apply.
